"poodle skirts, wrestling uniforms & future weapons"

These are characters I was asked to draw based on some written descriptions.
When I presented them, they were well received. Phew!

I posted this one already as an "inanimate", but it was part of the original design request, so I thought I'd post it again and have all three parts together.

Girl

Scorpions

I was asked to design some quasi-realistic half scorpion, half man characters for a potential film.

These were my two main ideas.

A portrait of _

This is a portrait commision I did.

It sort of looks like it could be on a dollar bill.

"At least let me pick my hat up before you shoot me!"

"A little photoshop assignment, broken into two layers."

Some Snakes

"I was asked to develope a snake character that could be modeled in 3D. These were my two ideas."

"They'd be life drawing, pilgrim!"

SITTING

 STANDING

"Pretending to ride a horse!"

"That's what I get for dressing up like a cowboy..."

" These cartoons are based on life drawings I did during costume sessions, I kinda like 'em."

Beat Boards No.5 & 6

"The last two pages of my internship beat boards."

Open them in a new window/tab for a lager view

GRRRR

Magenta line art?!! I know, right!!

"Utnapishtim" (don't worry, I can't pronounce it either)

I was asked to design this character at my internship, he's from "The Epic of Gilgamesh".

I like the way I drew the leaf he's holding.

"I like the salmon coloured table..."

"An assignment broken into three pieces, showing each layer."

Beat Boards No.3 & 4

Open them in a new window/tab for zooming in!

The Bone Drawings (sketchbook pages)

"All we know is, he's called the Stig."

Drawings of a Lamborghini Miura from the Car Show!
I'm in this one! On the right!

The Zoobilee ZOOBILEE ZOO!

"Back when I only used pencils."

KIDS! ZOO! (and, in pencil no less)

"Now that I see this again, it kinda looks like he's reading stuff on a smartphone."

The Making of Neither Hare Nor There

These are all of the original layouts for the film.

"It ended up looking like this."

"SUPER LONG PAN!"

"This pan ended up getting cut."

"This is the final look for the closing shot."

Go Fish!

"Swim for it, pal!"

"Then I can make that dream come true, to, AKA, for you."

"They sell this stuffed animal at Disney World. Santa hat not included, bummer."
